1848 Zachary Taylor. DeWitt-ZT 1848-2. White metal. 42 mm. MS-60 (NGC).，Even light pewter gray with traces of pale gold toning in the fields. Some areas of light tooling are noted on the obverse but these will only be seen under close inspection. By William G. Brown, whose copyright makes up the reverse design. According to Sullivan, Brown painted Taylors portrait in 1847, during the Mexican War, making this likeness particularly historic.
