1856 John Freemont. DeWitt-JF 1856-4. Bronzed copper. 34 mm. MS-64 BN (NGC).,Glossy dark chocolate bronze on the obverse with just slightly lighter accents on the high points. The reverse is ever so slightly microporous, resulting in a somewhat more dull appearance. Sharp and attractive. A couple of minor obverse spots, but few marks.
