Massachusetts--Springfield. Undated Hampden Brewery. Miller-Mass 125 1/2(?). White Metal. 31 mm. AU-50.，Slightly irregular uniface white metal planchet featuring a sheaf of wheat and the inscription HAMPDEN BREWERY / SPRINGFIELD, MASS. A rare token which apparently Miller and Rulau were unable to completely attribute because the example they were aware of apparently had an incomplete inscription. The planchets were too small for the dies, and only part of the inscription could be read on the tokens. The SPRINGFIELD, MASS. on this token is almost unreadable, but the upper part of the token, which is clear and nearly complete, undeniably shows that the establishments name was Hampden, not Hampton as listed in Rulau. A rare early token, now correctly attributed.，，
