1822 Matron Head Cent. N-11. Rarity-2. MS-64 BN (PCGS).，A delightful specimen from the Newcomb-11 dies painted in a marbling of violet, olive, and espresso hues. Subtle accents of pinkish luster remain in the protected regions, hinting at the superlative overall preservation. A light mark below star 7 and a few shallow ticks on Libertys cheek just barely withhold this piece from full Gem qualification, and the surfaces are otherwise without distractions and fully lustrous. Weakness in the stars is typical for the marriage, and the central elements remain bold and intricate on each side.
