1848 Braided Hair Cent. N-35. Rarity-2. MS-64 RB (PCGS). CAC.，Vibrant swaths of tangerine-red complement the chocolate brown patina of this gorgeous piece that approaches Gem preservation. Significant satiny luster blankets the fields, emphasizing their smooth and untroubled composure. The Newcomb-35 die pair is attributable by a number of miniscule diagnostics including a raised ridge from Libertys hair just beyond the coronet and a small die line linking the leaf and berry to the right of CENT. These aspects remain clearly visible on the present example despite a later die state, which has weakened the denticles most notably on the obverse. The central elements are otherwise well formed and without distractions, contributing to the strong eye appeal of this CAC-approved jewel.，，
