1864 Two-Cent Piece. FS-401. Small Motto. MS-64 RB (NGC).，An intriguing piece, the obverse retains nearly complete rose-red luster while the reverse is beautifully toned in glossy brown and golden-blue patina. Razor sharp in strike and otherwise smooth enough to evoke thoughts of a full Gem grade, the obverse exhibits a shallow planchet void with an unfortunate placement to partially efface the digit 8 in the date. The first circulation strike two-cent piece produced, and far scarcer than its identically dated Large Motto counterpart, the 1864 Small Motto is always in demand among advanced collectors.，From the Marc Kravit Collection.，
