1805 Draped Bust Half Dollar. O-107, T-7. Rarity-5. EF-40 (NGC).,Subtle lilac hues adorn the fields of this delightful EF example, with deeper violet and turquoise iridescence present at the borders. An old shallow mark at Libertys cheek and another at star 4 on the obverse appear under scrutiny, though the surfaces remain well composed and pleasing. The weakness seen at the upper right reverse is typical for this marriage and the devices are otherwise uniformly bold. <p>The finest from these dies is an AU-53 (NGC) example, with the balance of the Condition Census comprised of AU and EF coins. This piece is firmly on the lower end of this roster and represents a significant find for specialists. An attractive coin last offered in Mid-American Rare Coin Auctions FUN sale of January 1988.,From the Sutton Court Collection of Early Half Dollar Varieties. Earlier ex from Mid-American Rare Coin Auctions FUN Sale of January 1988, lot 682.,
