1805 Draped Bust Half Dollar. O-108, T-9. Rarity-4+. VF-35 (NGC).,Clouds of blue sapphire iridescence surround the devices of this handsome piece, accenting the grey and apricot patina that blankets the surfaces. A very fine die crack spans from the right wing tip across the tops of AME of AMERICA. The row of I-shaped indentations above the left shield point is visible on many examples from these dies, though their origin remains a mystery to researchers.
