1806/5 Draped Bust Half Dollar. O-103, T-8. Rarity-2. Large Stars. VF-30 (NGC).,This ideally preserved example displays pewter-grey and olive shades across each side. The definition is even and sharp, showing good detail to the central elements of both sides. This is the third and final use of this obverse die, and the resulting fatigue is evident. The denticles are essentially gone and all stars are drawn to the rim. A crack passes through the first two points of star 1 and into Libertys hair, with another faint break visible at the L of LIBERTY joining star 7.
