VF-35 (NGC).,The surfaces of this Large Stars example are bright and untoned, with considerable traces of mint luster remaining in the protected areas. An old, thin mark continues down from Libertys through, though the complexion is otherwise without notable abrasions. The dies are now heavily fatigued, equivalent to Tompkins Die Stage 4/2. Thin die cracks links much of the surrounding elements on the obverse, in addition to dramatic clash marks apparent around Liberty. This clashing is also evident at the upper border on the reverse and is joined by raised lumps around CA of AMERICA.
