1896-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-65 (PCGS).,A lovely Gem to represent this conditionally challenging 1890s silver dollar issue. Well struck apart from a touch of softness to the central high points, the overall smooth appearance to both sides sets this coin apart from the vast majority of 1896-S dollars extant. Although this issues mintage of 5,000,0000 pieces is respectable by any measure, it is scarce even in lower Mint State grades. Gems are nothing short of rare, the present offering representing a fleeting bidding opportunity for the advanced Morgan dollar enthusiast.,,
