安徽省造光绪元宝中花十文上英文水龙 PCGS F 12

安徽省造光绪元宝十文。顶级罕品，被Woodward列为孤品。"An-hwei"字样极小，龙外无珠圈。据伍谱所载，此形制又分数个版别，主要以云纹的数量和排佈区分，在龙尾的长短和形状上也有不同。当时Woodward倾力寻得的所有英文小字版品相均差强人意，他由此推论此版别应只出产了样币。本拍品有二次铸打的痕迹，背面尤为明显。磨损严重，与评分相符，诱人的肉桂色和茶色表面，整体悦目，来源可靠。

CHINA. Anhwei. 10 Cash, ND (1902-06). PCGS FINE-12 BN Secure Holder.cf.CL-AH.47; cf.CCC-66; W-34 (K-19)(Plate coin); cf.Duan-0623. EXCESSIVELY RARE and listed as UNIQUE by Woodward. Very small letters in "An-hwei" and missing beaded border around dragon. According to Woodward there are several varieties of this type which are principally distinguished by the number and arrangements of the clouds. Other differences include the length and shape of the dragons tail. Due to the fact that every example that Woodward was able to locate of this type with the very small letters and that all are in very poor condition he speculates that they are probably pattern only issues. Evidence of being double struck most prevalent on the reverse. Well worn as would be expected from the designated grade with attractive mottled cinnamon and mocha patina. Overall a pleasant example with a fabulous provenance.
