北洋机器局一分 PCGS AU Details

直隶（北洋）一分铜币。样币。黄铜製。齿边，双面均由背模铸打。极其罕见。为配合金本位制而造的新设计。深打，图文清晰，轻微磨损，一面三点钟位置有磕碰痕，获"Damage"评定。底板呈深茶色，图文呈浅棕色，对比生动，饶有趣味，定会引发激烈竞投。

CHINA. Chihli (Pei Yang Arsenal). Pattern Candareen or Fen, ND (ca. 1899-1900). PCGS SP Genuine--Damage, AU Details Secure Holder.KM-Unlisted; CCC-Unlisted; K-pg. 331-32; Duan-Unlisted; CL-Unlisted. Struck in copper with reeded edge using two reverse dies. EXTREMELY RARE. Proposed design for a Tael series based on the gold standard. Sharply struck with the design features fully defined and light signs of handling. Small hit mark on reverse at 3 oclock accounts for the details designation of "Damage". A complementary combination of mahogany atop of the devices with mocha that encompasses the fields give a nice two-tone appearance. Very attractive and very interesting sure to excite the specialist.
