Islamic - Iran (The Early Period),JULANDID: Abul-Muttalib, fl. 953-956, AR dirham (2.49g), uncertain mint, AH344, A-1586, mint seems to start with "D" and has just 3 or 4 letters, and should be a location near Huzu, or conceivably either on the island of Qays or even on the coast of East Arabia or Oman, lightly porous surfaces, VF, RRR. The relationship of Abul-Muttalib to the Julandids has never been determined, but it is likely for stylistic and numismatic evidence regarding the hoard from which these were found. There seen to have been several different mints, or which only Tanah has been confirmed from contemporary sources.
